Bio Sketch

I visited the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität in Münster for studying Information Systems (in German: Diplom Wirtschaftsinformatik). I focused on the areas of applied computer science and business management. One highlight of my studies was the development of WASA2 in a group of four students. WASA2 is a scientific prototype of a CORBA-based workflow management system presented at CeBIT'99 that allows modifying process definitions at run time in a service oriented environment. My diploma thesis deals with the theoretical background of these modifications. From 1999 until 2001, I worked as a software developer at the Schleupen AG, Moers, in the domains workflow management, order management and accounting, storage management and financial accounting. One important project was the cooperation with the http://www.wi.uni-muenster.de/in/ Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität to build a data warehouse with data mining capabilities for the Schleupen software. Since 2002, I am a research assistant at the Business Process Technology Group of Prof. Dr. Mathias Weske and in 2006 I received my doctoral degree.
